Molecular Mechanisms of muscle wasting during aging and disease

Congressi Stefano Franscini, Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland

21-26 September, 2025

This meeting will focus on the intersection between basic aging mechanisms and their effect on skeletal muscle disease - particular focus will include cachexia, frailty and sarcopenia. Molecular mechanisms discussed will include mTORC1 signaling, DNA damage & repair, aging-induced gene expression changes, etc. The meeting's interactive format and its small size makes it unique.

The meeting will be held at the Conference Centre Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland, the venue of choice for Congressi Stefano Franscini, the international conference platform of ETH Zurich. The center is located on a beautiful hill on top of the lake town of Ascona, in Southern Switzerland.
